Pill Reminder
Let your SiB remind you or your loved one when it's time to take that pill. One, two, three or even four times a day, the SiB can wake and alert by way of a flashing light or a text message.
When the pill is taken, pressing the SiB is all that is required to confirm it's been taken.
Several alert options are available, including sending a message when the pill has not been taken, after it has been taken or before it has been taken. These messages can also be sent to other people, so they too, can ensure that important medicine has or has not been taken.

Turn your SiB into a multi-colored night light. Press your SiB briefly to change colors. Long-Press your SiB to turn the night light off! Or, enter automatic mode, and have your SiB change colors on it's own!

Panic Button
Place your SiB in a fixed location in your home and use it as a Panic Button. A single press of the SiB can send an urgent message, or even a VSMS (voice message over phone call) to one or many recipients.
A SiB in the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, by the sofa or anywhere else where you spend a lot of time in, could benefit from having a SiB nearby in case something goes wrong and you or a family member needs help - a phone might not always be within reach, but a SiB could be!
Selecting the feature "health status" will make sure that the SiB automatically tests its own health to make sure battery, WiFi signal and other important hardware health factors are all good - if something is not right, you will be notified.
Please make sure that wherever you place your SiB, a decent WiFi signal exists, because without it, the SiB will not be able to send the emergency message out.

Portable Emergency Button
We hope the use of this app is never needed, but we made it because all too often something like this is needed, yet the high cost of owning one prevented the person from having it.
With a SiB, your mobile and the SiB is all that's needed!
How it works is that when pressed, the SiB connects to your mobile phone via Bluetooth and tells the SiMP app that an emergency situation exists. The SiMP app quickly takes over and requests from your phone's GPS your exact location.
Once the location is acquired, it is sent as a Google coordinate to the contacts you have set and they will be able to click on it and see your exact location.
This app currently works only with Android devices, but we plan on try to add support for iOS devices too (Apple is often too restrictive and make it very hard to provide such services).
A version 2 of this app (when updated) will have the ability to send regular GPS coordinates based on a preset time frame so that if you're on the move while needing help, your mobile will constantly send the information.
Point is, you can't always get a chance to open your mobile phone and activate some app for an emergency message to be sent, sometimes you're just in a situation where this is impossible and if that's the case, having a SiB hanging from your neck or in your pocket or anywhere easy to access, a quick press will immediately start the process of tracking where you are.

Emergency Pet
Your pet can be used as a very useful emergency assistant by using a SiB!
By attaching a SiB to your pet's collar, set up to send an urgent text or make a voice call to a single or several contacts of your choice, when you're in desperate need and can't move to get to your mobile, just call your pet over and press the SiB.
In a matter of seconds your message will be read or heard by those that matter the most and help will hopefully come quick.

The SiB is intuitive and depending on the intensity of your presses coupled with the quantity of presses, the SiB will send different types of messages.
Before you press the SiB, stop for a moment and think about who is going to get the message, then proceed to press it how you want and let the SiB send them a wonderful message that will inspire them and make them think of you because you are such a wonderful person for sending it!
Remember... this is not an automated process, you MUST press the SiB for the message to send out (and how you press it makes a difference) - therefore it is thanks to YOU that they will receive an inspiring message.

Feed the Fish!
Your SiB will flash a light to let you know when its time to feed your fish and later IM you if you you've forgotten. Once fed, you can press the SiB to dismiss the alarm until tomorrow. The last date your fish were fed will be displayed in SiMP so even if you are not at home and left the chore to somebody else, you will know your fish are OK!

Alarm Door
The SiB, together with a Magnet accessory, can be used as an alarm to protect your home against intrusion and it is a perfect replacement to conventional alarm systems, including expensive remotely monitored ones!
Placement must be carefully considered so that the SiB is not easily visible when the door is opened and the top of the triangle that is barely visible on the cap of the SiB, must point toward the magnet.
Use the included set of double sided tape that comes with the magnet accessory to stick the SiB and magnet to the desired location.
The magnet is very powerful, so there's no need to put the SiB right up against the magnet, an index finger's distance in between will be just fine when necessary, otherwise of course, it can be right up against the magnet, but we do recommend a little gap if possible.

Water Leak
The SiB, together with the Water Sensor accessory can be used to detect minute water leaks as soon as they start to happen!
If you've ever been a victim of a water leak or know of somebody that has suffered through one, then you'll know the damage caused by failing to quickly address the problem can be massive, you return home to find that water has damaged your flooring and everything else that's on it.
A SiB placed in all the locations where water leaks could happen, is likely to alert you and give you the opportunity to address the problem quickly before major damage happens!

Freezer Monitor
Make your freezer Smart! By using a SiB together with the Fridge/Freezer Temp accessory, you can monitor for higher than normal temperatures to fix the problem before your food spoils! We've all experienced leaving an item that stops the door from completely closing and if this happens when the temperature is hot outside, when you return home you will find everything needs to be thrown away. Power failures, a child that forgets to close the door so why risk it when you could have a SiB to monitor the temperature and alert you when it is above normal?
Further, most people are not aware that the temperature control in your freezer does not have a thermostat attached to it, it blindly cools to a level preset at the factory. A freezer set to cold instead of "coldest" in winter, will cool the food perfectly, but not so in summer! The reverse applies for a freezer set to coldest in winter, it will cool the food far more than it needs and use unnecessary power, yet who has time to remember this detail and regulate the level manually?
A SiB will monitor for warmer than usual temperatures and also alert you when it is too cold, allowing you to make adjustments in both winter and summer that will save you power and keep your food fresh longer.

The Fridge/Freezer Temp accessory is the part that goes inside the freezer whilst ensuring the actual SiB remains outside of the cold area - an essential design point that allows the battery to last many years.

Yes, the SiB paired with the Mini Assistant accessory, can be your shopping assistant! Did you ever get to the supermarket and returned home without everything you needed? - of course! its happened to all of us. Then again maybe you're the super organized person that writes everything down when something's needed, but do you do that in a piece of paper or in your mobile phone? No matter how you do it (or don't), this incredible accessory will make your life easier and more efficient every day onward. The SiB with the Mini Assistant is basically a SiB paired to an accessory that you can speak to. Whenever you've run out of something (be it milk, cheese, batteries or whatever!) you quickly press the SiB which activates the microphone of the Mini Assistant and you can just say "bananas", "milk" and the SiB will take those words you've just spoken and send them to your SiMP as a shopping list! Wherever you go now, your list will be with you and you don't need to worry about writing things down or getting to your phone when you need something to be quickly entered into the list. The SiB and accessory are very small and can easily be placed near your fridge for quick access. The SiB paired with the Car Alarm accessory, is far more useful than many car alarms in existence today. Most alarms will detect a vibration or intrusion and sound the horn, but that typically allows the person to flee, only for when you return to find damage to the vehicle and no other recourse but insurance. The car alarm accessory plugs straight into your auxiliary power outlet and is discreet. Loss Prevention
If you've ever lost a pet (and hopefully found him or her), you will know the anxiety this event causes. It's almost impossible to prevent this from ever happening, but you will certainly increase your chances of recovering your pet with a SiB.
Attached to your pet's collar, the SiB will regularly check to see if it is within range of your WiFi. If the SiB wakes and the WiFi signal is lost it will consider the pet having left the perimeter. The SiB will immediately light up, flash different color lights (for easy night visibility) and will become a WiFi and Bluetooth Beacon, this beacon can be picked up with your phone as you search for your precious pet. Anybody else that finds your pet, using their own phone's WiFi, can quickly see your contact details!
The program is optimized for a very long battery life of many months, so please note that when the pet leaves your perimeter, you will not be notified of the fact its gone missing. Should a notification for when the pet has left your perimeter be desired, an optional GPS / Mobile connected accessory will need to be added (available soon at an extra cost + monthly fee for the data plan).

Ever wondered what would happen if you're not home when a fire breaks out or if the fire starts somewhere that you can't easily hear - like the garage for example?
Now with a SiB you will get notified no matter where you are, the notification through SiMP will be loud and intrusive and even if you're deep asleep, so long as your phone is near you, you will know about it.
The SiB together with the smoke detector accessory, will alert you when the smoke detector wakes and sounds an alarm. You simply place the SiB on top of your existing smoke detector using the included double sided tape and that's it. The battery use is very low, so you will get many years of use without having to replace the battery.

Garage Door Opener
Get rid of your non-secure garage door remote control by replacing it with a SiB!
A typical garage door remote is a security risk, if somebody gains access to your car's interior by breaking a window and takes the remote, they can effectively open your home's garage door.
2 SiBs and an accessory can make everything so much easier to use and completely secure. Using Bluetooth technology, your SiB in your car will only work when an authorized mobile phone is near it. The SiB will communicate via BT, send the open/close command to SiMP, then SiMP will send the open/close command to the SiB controlling your garage door through an easy to use accessory.
You can now open the door from anywhere and even get notified if the door was opened or closed.

Movement / Vibration Accessory
The movement / vibration accessory is based on a three axis accelerometer that (in this application) reacts based on the sensing of movement or a vibration event.
This app lets you set the level of sensitivity for when the SiB will wake and send an alert or simple notification.
The SiB could be placed on a wall and upon tapping the wall, the SiB will wake - making the entire wall a way to wake the SiB.
You can place the SiB on an item you don't want moved or touched, for example a small safe, draws that contain important items, medicine cabinet etc - the moment a movement occurs you will know!
If you have anything else of value you wish to protect, it is likely you'll find a place to hide the SiB within the item and should anybody try to remove it or do anything with it, the SiB will wake and send you an alert.
Keep in mind that if you set the sensitivity to its highest level you might get some false alarms, therefore try and select the highest sensitivity possible without making it too sensitive that it triggers on any type of vibration.

Door Bell
If you're tired of your boring old door bell and its limited capabilities, just replace it with a SiB!
When a SiB is pressed, you and other members of your household (and even neighbors) can be notified of the presence of a person at the door. The notification to the mobile phone is very intrusive and very loud so that you can not ignore a single notification, but of course this can be changed and customized.
A second SiB tied to the Bell Receiver accessory, can play a chime that your entire home can hear in addition to the alerts that are sent to the mobile phone - lots of options!

When used in a bathroom location, especially near the shower or bath, careful attention should be given to evaporation build up in the window. In this instance, it might be best to place the SiB at the bottom of the window, instead of the top. This potentially sacrifices some WiFi signal strength, but it avoids the high level of condensation that might impact the life of the SiB due to corrosion.

We recommend watching the video for more information. We also recommend that you use the SiB's package and seal the seam with clear tape to lower the amount of moisture that could get in.
We also recommend that you purchase the Moisture/Outdoor SiB protection kit and apply it to the SiB. This kit will ensure that the SiB lasts for many years because of the protection the Silicone mix brings to the electrical joints and connections that are exposed on the SiB for connecting to accessories. In a high moisture environment like a shower, this is the only way to significantly extend the life of an electronic device.

Trash and Rubbish Bins
If you wish you didn't have to think again about when the bins need to be put out for collection, then a SiB is your solution!
A SiB, together with the motion sensor accessory, is a super low cost solution to this bothersome weekly or fortnightly event.
There's just four simple components to this and all of them combined will cost you the same as a couple of cups of coffee! The SiB, the package it comes in, the included double sided tape and the motion sensor.
Now, when the day prior to collection comes, you will get a message to remind you and then as it gets later in the day you will receive more reminders. All it takes is for you to put the bins out for the SiB to recognize the task is being carried out and you will no longer get a reminder - that easy! Then, on the day when the truck picks up the bins, you will get a notification as soon as the contents are emptied and your bins ready to be collected by you. Of course, everything can be customized including how many messages you wish to get, who will get them and perhaps you wish to have different members of your household look after this task every week? sure, easy done!

Movement Monitor
Using the vibration sensor, your SiB can be mounted on your loved one's bed to monitor motion at night. If the SiB does not detect motion, it will alert you.

I'm OK!
If you wish to let a family member or somebody else know that you're OK, rather than pick up the phone every day to inform somebody, you can easily do the same by having a SiB stuck to your fridge's door.
By moving the door once every 24hrs (or more frequently if desired), the SiB will recognize that everything is OK and reset itself till the next day.
If the SiB doesn't sense any motion during the time frame chosen, then it will wake and send a message to the emergency contacts that were chosen.
This SiB can also be used as an emergency button, where if pressed manually it will trigger and send a message to the same emergency contacts or different ones.

Water Filter Replacement
If you have a water filtration system at home, you likely know that the manufacturer recommends for the filters to be replaced every x number of years - but often there's more than one filter and depending on filter type, the replacement time-frame changes. More importantly, measuring a filter's lifespan based on set times is hardly accurate considering the difference in wear between a person that drinks 1 glass of water a day vs a family that drinks 20 is significant.
With a SiB and the Water Flow accessory, you never have to remember again when filters need to be replaced. The SiB will quietly measure water flow and alert you when each filter is due to be replaced. You simply select each and every filter you have installed, if new, you define it as new and if used, you set an approximate amount of time that's been in use, let SiMP and the SiB work out the rest! Now you can turn any old motorized garage door into a smart garage door!
Have you ever forgotten to close the door or came back home and found the door open because a mis-alignment of the sensors caused it to automatically open after you had closed it?
What about somebody opened it but just forgot to close it? More importantly, if you've left your remote control in your car while parked outside, anybody that gains access to the remote could open the garage and have complete access to your home!
Now, with the SiB and the Garage Door accessory, you can have complete peace of mind knowing no matter where you are, what the status is of your door and giving you the capability to open it and close it by just using the SiMP app or another SiB button.
In terms of security and convenience, you can throw away your old antiquated remote controls and replace them with SiBs! Leaving a SiB in your car is no longer a risk or concern because its useless without an authorized mobile phone near it. The Bluetooth capability of the SiB will only work when a Bluetooth enabled device that's authorized is in close proximity. With one SiB you can open one door or several! One short press for your main door, one long press for another and so forth. Giving access to more people to your garage is as simple as giving them a SiB and authorizing it to open and close the door - super easy!

With a SiB and the Plant Monitor accessory these concerns are a thing of the past! All you have to do is select the type of plant the monitor is in and let the SiB and SiMP tell you when more water is necessary. Too cold to get out of bed on a cold winter's morning? or too hot in the middle of the night during summer? Perhaps you're coming out of the shower and wished the heater was on on a cold night?
Use the SiB to turn on your heater or AC remotely! Now, with a SiB in the right place, all you have to do is press it quickly to turn on the heater or AC. A short press can turn on your heater or AC for 10 minutes to give you just enough of the right temperature you need, perhaps a long press can give you 20 minutes instead or 2 short presses give you 30 minutes, whatever you want, the SiB can do it and now controlling your AC or Heater (SiB and Thermostat accessory required) is super easy. You can even have multiple SiBs in different locations for controlling the AC/Heater for various reasons.

The accessory has multiple pads exposed underneath where they can be soldered to using cables or even using SMT and standard reflow soldering techniques. There's 21 pads exposed including one for GND and one for V+, the rest are GPIOs that can be used for SPI, I2C, PWM, Analogue and so many other functions - all of these are backed by simple to use commands that allow you to quickly make programs that control whatever you want and how you want it!
The SiB can do a great deal of the things an Arduino UNO, Raspberry PI, ESP32/8266, Beagleboard or other single board computers can do - offering flexibility, super low cost and a far easier to use programming language without the hassle of having to load a firmware as well as other time consuming processes.

Rather than this being any specific App, the GPIO+ HDMI accessory that can be paired to a SiB will let you control practically ANY sensor or device you wish. The accessory has multiple pads exposed underneath where they can be soldered to using cables, Pogo pins or other methods as well. In addition to the standard GPIO Anything accessory (which is better suited to SMT reflow soldering) this one has a micro HDMI port! - BUT, it is NOT an HDMI port, rather, we've used the standard connector and the available 19 pins to make it easy to plug other devices to this accessory.
This accessory comes included with the micro HDMI male cable that exposes the 17 GPIOs + 2 power cables that can be used to connect to devices with support for SPI, I2C, PWM, Analogue and so many other functions - all of these are backed by simple to use commands that allow you to quickly make programs that control whatever you want and how you want it! Remote Temp Control
If you are using a SiB Thermostat accessory in your home to control your heating or cooling or both, you could take advantage of many of the features it offers, including the ability to control the temperature of precisely the location YOU are in. A normal thermostat regardless whether it is smart or not, will adjust the temperature at the location where IT is at, not where you are and if you are in a small room it does not matter, since the thermostat does not know, it will continue heating or cooling and making the room you are in uncomfortable. By using a constantly powered on SiB with a USB powered accessory, you can have a SiB in every room and by using the Bluetooth engine, it will sense your presence so long as your mobile phone is with you. At this point, the thermostat no longer controls the temperature, but the SiB you are next to does instead. As soon as the right temperature is reached in the room you are at, the SiB will send a command to the thermostat to turn off! If you currently have an old thermostat controlling your AC or heating system at home and even if you have a Smart Thermostat, you should consider replacing your controller with the one controlled by SiB!
Unlike some smart thermostats available today, the SiB thermostat doesn't have an LCD and there's not many controls besides for On and Off (using the SiB button), but these things add cost and complexities when in reality are hardly ever used. If you know what a Bluetooth Shutter aka Wireless Selfie Button is, then you can now imagine one of those but on steroids! because that's what a SiB offers.
When you press a selfie button, the image is taken by your camera, but often, you don't want to hold the button in your hand because it doesn't look good in the picture, so why not automate the process in a way you like?!

Here, we have what we think is one of the most amazing uses for a SiB - very special to us because this one is not about connecting devices together, but rather people and that's what life is all about, connecting family, friends and people we like in a positive way. But why is this so special and unique? - well, together with SiMP and the SiB an amazing combination happens. With SiMP you get to record your voice and say things you know the other person will like and the other person can press the SiB whenever they want and will get to hear your voice and messages! For example, you might want to give the SiB to a child and then daily you can record a message like "I love you, you are the best son / daughter I've ever had!" and you can record as many as you like - hundreds. Then your son or daughter when pressing the SiB will get a call and one of your randomly selected messages will play to them. Close the Window!
Do you have a window or door in your home that you like to keep open for a certain amount of time but need to close before the sun sets or you leave your home?
With this SiB program, the SiB will count down on a timer (based on the amount you want) and when the timer is up, you will be sent a notification to remind you to Close the Window! or anything else you set up the message to be.
A notification will be sent every 5 minutes (adjustable) that the window remains open past the timer time, once closed the SiB goes to sleep till next time the window is opened. This program works together with the Magnet Accessory and can be applied to anything that you can think of that you need a reminder on, for example, could be used in your garage door, where you keep the door open but are then reminded to close it later in the day - so many uses!

Sometimes you will find yourself in a situation where you need to speak to somebody but are without a phone near by. A SiB paired with the Intercom Accessory allows you to very quickly communicate with somebody no matter where they are. Let SiB control your irrigation! With a SiB paired to the Irrigation Assistant accessory, you can turn on and off your sprinklers remotely and more importantly, automate the process using the SiMP app. You can even add the SiB Plant Moisture sensor to the equation and get feedback on whether a scheduled irrigation event should or should not happen because the soil is already wet from rain! Most irrigation systems require plug in power, but NOT the Irrigation Assistant because it's SOLAR powered and backed by a rechargeable battery. The matching solenoids are standard 12V DC which are low cost and are a replacement to standard 24V AC power solenoids. The Irrigation Assistant can control up to 4 valves per location and even has a USB power / charge port for places where the sun don't shine!

Safe Protect
Do you have anything that you wish to protect? - anything that is locked up and want to make sure that if you're ever forced to give access that you're protected by a process that can't be altered under duress? - if so, then using a SiB paired with the Vibration Accessory (or other accessories like the Motion Detection) you can set up the SiB in such a way that it protects you and becomes a serious deterrent to anybody forcing you to unlock. The way it works with the Vibration Accessory is that when the SiB detects any vibration, it activates and sends you a silent message to let you know its on standby. Once its active, you are supposed to press the button which will then trigger a message that is sent to you. This message will say "please send your key word" which is a word that you've pre-set on the system (could be banana, cars, sky - anything) and if the correct word is given, then the SiB deactivates and goes to sleep. You will also get a notification that says "Thank you, access granted". IF however, the wrong word is given, it will automatically send a message or place a phone call (VSMS) to an emergency contact and whoever gets it will know you are in danger. Even if your answer is wrong, you will also get a "Thank you, access granted" which is to ensure that the other person doesn't know the wrong word was entered (in case they want to see your phone). When you set up the program, the system will ask you what that key word is and it will never be shown on your conversation, therefore no record will exist of what that word is, only you will know it. Further, this app includes the ability to block any changes within a set time frame. When first installed, you could select 24hrs (as an example) and within that 24hrs period, you can not change anything about the program when the SiB is activated - what this means, is that the SiB will not accept the STOP command nor will it react to any program changes that are done within this period and its a way to ensure that you are not forced to cancel the running of the app while under duress. With this app, all you have to do is have the sensor and the SiB stuck to the item you wish to protect - nothing else is needed. Of course, more layers of prevention can be added to a system like this one and one for example is a redundant internet connection in case your main connection is cut by the perpetrator - a separate SiB paired to the Internet Accessory, will give you this extra layer of safety at a fractional cost.

If you have a shipping room or in other words, frequently send out parcels or items via courier, then you might also have more than one person that is involved in the process of sending these items out. Two Factor Authentication
More often than not, you have to give your staff access to company sensitive portals, such as financial portals or CITRIX type portals, or cloud services access or many other things. When you do, you might want that access to only be from a certain location and for specifically that individual. For this, you could give them a SiB! The SiB when pressed would act as the second factor in the authentication process and because a SiB is hardware which could be tied to a specific IP, then it will only be able to be used where the SiB is located. Your network and information will be far more secure because two factor authentication is in place, but also, it will be locked down to where you wish for the staff to have access from AND only that staff member, not another from another location - nobody can pretend to be somebody else as its possible with compromised mobile phones or apps that let you use two factor authentication from anywhere. Phones can be stolen, forgotten or given to random companies for repair and the user can easily forget their two factor app is there, thus mistakenly giving away access to your network and information, not so with a SiB and especially by locking it for use to certain IP addresses only!

Keys to the Castle!
We live in a world where everything is password protected, this brings great level of protection and privacy to ourselves, but what would happen if something tragic were to happen to you and family or friends or anybody else that is dependent on you were all of a sudden unable to continue a normal life because the only person with access to everything (you) is now unable to assist? Well, with a SiB (or rather many SiB's) a solution exists! SiMP stands for Secure instant Messaging Platform. Before other apps in the market were offering encryption for messaging, SiMP already had that built in, in fact, encryption is so important to the entire SiMP network that even the information in the "servers" that contain customer data are fully encrypted - this is why, if you lose access to your account data, nothing about your account could ever be recovered. SiMP paired with a SiB solves the problem mentioned above. The solution is to store whatever information you wish to keep secret until you're no longer around in this app, which in fact, is stored in our encrypted SiMP servers. With a minimum of 2 SiBs you can then send these two SiBs to 2 persons you trust. If something were to happen to you, all these 2 people have to do is press the SiBs within a certain period of time (defined by you) and then the information that is stored is sent to the person you've preset in the program. Thing is, you can actually apply as many SiBs as you want and in doing so you can define either more people that will be needed to press the SiBs at the same time OR, you could send to 10 people SiBs (all must be pre-configured) and have only 2 or 3 (any number) needed to be pressed to release the data. All you need to do is think how many people you can send a SiB to that you trust (the more the better for redundancy) and then decide how many SiBs must be pressed to release the data. You can update the data over time and add as much information as you want. The battery of SiBs lasts about 10 years and so after this period of time you will have to resend new SiBs to the same people or change the battery in the SiBs for them. You will be notified via SiMP when a good time to carry out this maintenance arrives!

Dead Man Switch
A dead man switch will keep something from turning off so long as the switch is pressed! In the case of a SiB, it can be used in different scenarios for the same purpose, but instead of having to press it all the time, interval timers can be set which are reset every time the SiB is pressed.
What this means, is that by pressing a SiB, the countdown timer which on expiration would normally activate another accessory that controls power of a device, would be constantly reset by pressing the SiB and therefore keeping the device controlled by another SiB powered on as long as the pattern is repeated over and over.
For example, lets say you have your computer which contains important information that you don't want anybody else to access in case something happens to you. One SiB would control the timer and when pressed, that timer would reset, but if not pressed, that timer would expire and send a command to another SiB that controls the AC (mains power which the computer is plugged into) and then turn the power off which will result in the computer to instantly be powered off.

With this program, you can send a single one-line packet to any TCP-IP (ipv4) connected device, and receive the result. The result can be stored as either Text, that you can send back to SiMP via IM, or, as a number. You can modify your program to take any action based on the resulting number, using IF statements!

Fridge Monitor
Make your fridge Smart! By using a SiB together with the Fridge/Freezer Temp accessory, you can monitor for higher than normal temperatures to fix the problem before your food spoils! We've all experienced leaving an item that stops the door from completely closing and if this happens when the temperature is hot outside, when you return home you will find everything needs to be thrown away. Power failures, a child that forgets to close the door so why risk it when you could have a SiB to monitor the temperature and alert you when it is above normal?
Further, most people are not aware that the temperature control in your fridge does not have a thermostat attached to it, it blindly cools to a level preset at the factory. A fridge set to cold instead of "coldest" in winter, will cool the food perfectly, but not so in summer! The reverse applies for a fridge set to coldest in winter, it will cool the food far more than it needs and use unnecessary power, yet who has time to remember this detail and regulate the level manually?
A SiB will monitor for warmer than usual temperatures and also alert you when it is too cold, allowing you to make adjustments in both winter and summer that will save you power and keep your food fresh longer.

Use this program to let somebody else know that you are fine - by not sending them any messages! If you are traveling somewhere or will be in an unfamiliar territory for a while, you can use this program for one type of personal safety.
With this program the SiB will turn on at a specific time of the day (or several times in a day) and every time it powers up, it will light up the light green for a few minutes, then yellow for a few more and finally red. At any time from start to finish of the light sequence, you can press the SiB and the other person will not get a message.
What the SiB does, is every time you press it, it resets the timer until next time. By pressing it, you are indicating to the SiB that you are fine and therefore no message is sent out. If you do not press the SiB, at the end of the light sequence the person (or more than one) who you have set as an emergency contact, will get a message to let them know you are not fine.
When the SiB is set to turn on once a day, you can actually press it anytime before the light sequence starts to reset the SiB to next day as if you had pressed it during the light sequence or, you can just press it when you see the lights turn on.
You can select also to have the SiB send you a message at the start of the red light to let you know that you need to press the SiB - in case you have forgotten.
Alternatively, you can have the SiB wake up many times in a day and carry out the same sequence in case of more serious situations where the person must demonstrate that they are fine more often.

Basic Environmental Thermometer
This is a simple environmental thermometer. This app will regularly measure the temperature wherever the SiB is placed (inside, outside, etc), and send it to SiMP on an interval you select. You can see the history of temperatures in your chat, and the current temperature on your tile.
Connected to SiBCloud, this app can provide charts showing the temperature changes over time!
Note that the SiB's built in thermometer is not very accurate and can vary by 2 or 3 degrees, though usually by 1 degree when measuring temperatures between 10C and 30C (50F to 85F), however, because it's built in, we offer it and make it available included in the SiB without having to purchase a thermometer accessory.

Panic Button
Place your SiB in a fixed location in your home and use it as a Panic Button. A single press of the SiB can send an urgent message, or even a VSMS (voice message over phone call) to one or many recipients.
A SiB in the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, by the sofa or anywhere else where you spend a lot of time in, could benefit from having a SiB nearby in case something goes wrong and you or a family member needs help - a phone might not always be within reach, but a SiB could be!
Selecting the feature "health status" will make sure that the SiB automatically tests its own health to make sure battery, WiFi signal and other important hardware health factors are all good - if something is not right, you will be notified.
Please make sure that wherever you place your SiB, a decent WiFi signal exists, because without it, the SiB will not be able to send the emergency message out.

Kill Switch
A kill switch is often a big red button found in machinery that when pressed, it immediately cuts power to it. Kill switches can be found in many other applications and a SiB can be used for similar situations as well.
With a SiB you can control power to a local device or a remote device. Local means that it is directly wired to an accessory controlled by the SiB designated as the "kill switch" and remote means that the kill switch SiB controls another remote SiB (which is always on) that is attached to an accessory that controls the power of a device.
As long as there's WiFi, a remote SiB can be in another room or even a different country!
When the SiB controls a remote accessory, the device plugged into it is unable to turn off power immediately, but as long as WiFi is good, in most cases it can do so in under 3 seconds.
A kill switch SiB can be placed anywhere in your home or work place and it can upon being pressed, turn off the power to ANYTHING that on the receiving end has a SiB and the appropriate adapter, for example your computer's AC power source or anything else that runs off the AC mains or even a DC power source using one of our other accessories.

Mailbox Motion Alert
How many times have you walked to your mailbox to find nothing there or received an important letter or package that you didn't know had arrived until days later when you went to check?
With a SiB and a Motion sensor accessory, you can now rest assured that whenever a letter arrives you will be notified!
As long as you have some level of WiFi signal where your mailbox is, all you have to do is stick the SiB to the underside (ideally) of your mailbox with the included double sided tape and you're done! Just make sure the arrow on the top cap points toward your home / where your WiFi connection is strongest.
When mail arrives, the vibrations generated by the door opening of your mail box will trigger the SiB and you will be notified.
Important: this method is an alternative method to the "Light sensor accessory" and the "Spring base accessory" which are the other optional Apps / accessories available.
Every mail box is different and each of the options has its positive and negative points.

Master Alarm
A Master Alarm is an always on SiB that is used by all other Alarm SiBs in your home. The Master Alarm allows you to turn all of your Alarm SiBs on and off at the press of a button!
The Master Alarm brings many new features to your SiB Alarms, such as automatically turning on and off when your mobile phone is present running SiMP. In addition, the Master Alarm reduces power use by your various Alarm SiBs by reducing the number of times your SiBs need to go online.
The Master Alarm SiB broadcasts a unique ID that all your other SiBs look out for. When this unique ID is present, your satellite SiBs (on doors, windows etc) will act a certain way and when it's not, they will act in another way depending on the setup of the alarm.
Multiple Master Alarm SiBs might be necessary for larger homes (the ID is broadcast using WiFi and limited by its reach), but a Master Alarm SiB is also optional, it just makes your alarm more sophisticated.

The SiB, together with a Magnet accessory, can be used as an alarm to protect your home against intrusion and it is a perfect replacement to conventional alarm systems, including expensive remotely monitored ones!
Placement must be carefully considered so that the SiB is not easily visible when the door is opened and the top of the triangle that is barely visible on the cap of the SiB, must point toward the magnet.
Use the included set of double sided tape that comes with the magnet accessory to stick the SiB and magnet to the desired location.

Activation Button
Turn your SiB into a simple Alarm Activation button! Long press the SiB to activate your alarm, and short-press your SiB to turn off the alarm.
As you exit your home or work, this is the best way to activate the alarm immediately and to quickly be informed on whether you've left any windows or doors open so you can go and close them prior to your departure.
You can have several of these depending on how you leave your premises, perhaps one in the garage and one by the front door.

Activity Alarm
Unlike a normal alarm that would alert you using sound, the SiB can do the same but with its built in LED light!
The idea behind this method of alarm is to do so in a visual manner that persists until you decide to act on the alarm.
A situation where you want to be subtly reminded every day to do something is perfect for the SiB. The current app can offer you 3 different options:
1) It can wake prior to the actual alarm time and show you a GREEN light, then as it gets closer turn YELLOW and finally when the time has arrived it will turn RED. It will continue flashing red until you press it. (medium battery use)
2) It can wake much earlier than your scheduled wake time and flash green, at which point you press the SiB to turn it off, then as it gets to about mid point it will turn back on and flash yellow, again you press it to turn it off, finally when the time arrives it will wake one last time and flash red. (low battery use)
3) The SiB can just wake at the scheduled time and flash a red light, it will keep flashing until pressed. (lowest battery use)

Timer SiB!
Do you have any repetitive tasks that you do daily, weekly or regularly enough that it's a bother to set your watch or mobile's timer to time the task? - to make this much easier, you can use a SiB!
Just give the SiB the name of the task, the approximate number of minutes or hours you want it to time and then with the included double sided tape, stick it right next to the task you perform. Whenever you press the SiB, it will start to count down and when it finishes, it will wake and send you a text! - it can send you one and go to sleep or it can KEEP sending the alerts every X amount of time you preset until you press the SiB to go to sleep in case you are ever distracted and forget to attend to the task immediately.
If you have 2 or 3 different tasks nearby, you can just have 2 or 3 SiBs to take care of each task.

3D Print Ready!
Do you have a 3D printer and often find yourself wondering whether the print is done or not?
For those of us who have a 3D printer that doesn't tell you when it's done via WiFi, the SiB button is a super quick and easy addition to make this seemingly simple task (but otherwise time consuming exercise) one that you don't need to worry about anymore.
In this case, the SiB + the alarm accessory will sit at the top of the printer's shafts. You must find a location for the SiB on either the platform that moves up and down or fixed at the top. The magnet has to be in the opposing location, either on the platform or fixed at the top.
When the print starts, the magnet will break from the SiB which will cause the SiB to briefly wake and go into a "print started" mode. As the platform moves to the home position when the print is finished, the SiB will wake and send a text to let you know the Print is Done!
Not only that, but 3D printer software is renowned for being inaccurate when calculating the time the print will take, however, when the print is done, the SiB will also tell you the total time your print took. Enjoy!

Visual CUE
For the hearing impaired or in fact, for anybody that wishes to enhance their environment with a visual representation of events happening in their mobile phone or by other SiBs, this program will make it a lot easier to SEE what's going on, rather than hear it.
Place a SiB (must be always on and powered by an accessory like the USB external power) anywhere in your home or office, for either yourself or others to see.
When an important message comes to your SiMP app from another user or a separate SiB carries out an action, (eg: Door Bell, Timer, Temperature, Pill reminder, etc etc) your SiB running this program will flash the built in LED.
The LED being full color, can flash GREEN for non urgent tasks, Yellow for other more important things and RED for most pressing and important events.
If a family member is trying to get hold of you, perhaps a yellow flashing LED will alert you to that. If you've forgotten to take your pills, the RED will flash.
Any color is possible, even solid or flashing.

High Accuracy Temperature and Humidity
When you need to monitor or measure temperature AND humidity with a high degree of accuracy, this is the accessory and app!
This accessory is based on a sensor made by a highly renowned Swiss company and comes from factory already calibrated.
With this app and this accessory you will get temperature readings that are accurate to 2 decimals and the same applies to humidity readings.
The sensor is accurate to +/- 1.5% relative humidity and +/- 0.1C! (0.18F!).
The temperature range of this sensor is -40 to 125C (-40F to 257F). For humidity the range is 0 to 100%, but is most accurate between 0 and 80%.
How long the SiB's battery will last will depend on how many readings and how often you want the SiB to wake and report to you the information.
The standard program will report to you whenever a 2C (3.6F) change in temperature happens, but you can change that to less or more and the greater the number, the longer the battery will last.
The SiB can also act as an alarm based on a temperature trigger point. For example, if you want the SiB to wake and send you an alert when the temperature gets to -30 (-22F) then the SiB will not wake unless that temperature is reached or exceeded.
There are too many uses for this sort of accessory and we can't list them all, but if you've ever wondered what are the temperature and humidity levels of a certain location either when you are at the location or away from it, then this accessory will provide you exactly that!

Resetting the count is no different to getting the total tally, just long press the SiB, you will get the total of the previous count and you can start again.
After you press your SiB to wake it, you will know when the count can begin because you will see a green light flash, meaning as soon as you see the green light flash, you can start to press your SiB for counting purposes.

Counter SiB! advanced
If you ever find yourself in need of counting an event and are frustrated by having to put little marks on a piece of paper and then counting them at the end or have lost count many times due to a distraction, then the Counter SiB app is perfect for you!
This app makes it easy to count presses, you just do a quick press of the SiB when a count happens and for as many times as an event occurs and then when you reach the preset total count, the SiB will flash a light to show you the total count has been reached!
A press of over 1 second but less than 5 seconds will reset the SiB and allow for the count to begin again. A green light will flash to indicate the SiB is ready for a new count. You can repeat this process as many times as you want and the SiB will in addition to counting each event, it will also count how many events happened.
When you are ready to submit the entire count, you press the SiB for more than 5 seconds which will prompt the SiB to connect to WiFi and send to SiMP the total tally and in addition, reset itself to 0.
For example, if you set the maximum event count to 250, once you have pressed the SiB 250 times, the SiB will flash a light to show that you have reached the total count. If you press the SiB 200 times on the second event and decide to submit this data, SiB will send a count of 1 event (= 250 presses) and 200 presses, total 450.
After you press your SiB to wake it, you will know when the count can begin because you will see a green light flash, meaning as soon as you see the green light flash, you can start to press your SiB for counting purposes.

Night Light
A little light can go a long way when it comes to a young one and this is exactly what the SiB offers!
Place the SiB on the bedside table and let the youngster can control it - they can have their favorite color run and it will run for whatever time frame you set in the app.
Once the timer is reached, the light will power off and can be restarted by another quick press of the button.
A Short-Press of the SiB will turn on the LED light and by pressing it again the light color will change!
A Long-Press of the SiB will turn on the LED light in automatic mode and every minute the color will change - so much fun!
Once the SiB is running a Long-Press will turn the SiB off.

Asset Alarm
The SiB, together with the Perimeter Wire accessory, can be used as an alarm to protect your outdoor assets against theft!
Use the Perimeter Wire accessory by attaching the end of the cable / wire to any items that are externally exposed to theft. The SiB is placed inside your home with access to WiFi and the included wire that activates it is attached to the item you are trying to protect.
The wire is not the trigger, it simply allows for connecting the accessory to the item that you need to protect. If the item were to be moved during a theft attempt, the wire would be pulled with the item and on the SiBs end the removal of the magnet which is part of the accessory would wake the SiB and cause it to send you an alert!
Use the included double sided tape or the Phillips head screw to place the accessory in a location where WiFi is within reach. We always recommend testing the location first by simply placing the SiB there and pressing it to see if you get the default message arrives to the SiMP app, confirming that WiFi signal is good.
The PIN holding the magnet in the accessory must be able to come out when the wire is pulled by the item being stolen. Simulate this to make sure the orientation of the accessory is correct to allow for this to happen.
